Photosynthesis experiment.

-Aim: To find out which colour of light doesn't allows the plant to photosynthesis.
-Hypothesis: All lights would allow plants to photosynthesize.
  • Item that is changed [colour of light]
  • Measuring the rate of photosynthesis.

-Apparatus.

  • A plant in a tube filled with water.
  • Red, Blue, Green lights.
  • Oxygen sensor.

-Method.

  1. Fill the tube with water.
  2. Put the plant in.
  3. Leave the tube at a place where no light is present.
  4. shine the red light at the plant.
  5. test the rate of photosynthesis with the oxygen sensor.
  6. repeat step 4and5 for both blue and green lights.
  7. compare the result.

-Result.

The rate of photosynthesis under green light would be the least. Due to the colour of the leaves, it doesn't absorb green light, instead it reflects it away. Therefore, the rate of photosynthesis under green light would not be as high.
